Description
A plush. red-fleshed Pinot Noir from Bendigo. Central Otago. Bright. crimson red in appearance with sweet. juicy red fruits on the palate. Blackberry. Morello cherry and cacao dominate. Soft and supple mouthfeel with a long. persistent finish. Youthful and approachable now. though will continue to gain complexity over the next 2-3 years.
Tasting note
A fruit-forward. savoury Pinot Noir with concentration of flavour. texture and richness.
Vinification
The fruit was hand harvested. 75% whole bunch and wild-fermented in stainless steel tank where it was gently macerated for four weeks before being pressed into aged French oak barriques where it underwent full malolactic fermentation and aging on lees for 12 months before being bottled unfiltered and unfined.
