This wine is from Popoli. a small commune in Abruzzo which is on the Eastern side of Italy.
Presenting itself as a bloody delicious. easy-drinking red. this Montepulciano offers all its hallmark traits: black fruits. cherry. cranberry. leather and spice. The wine is a dark. dense purple colour in the glass and has incredible concentration of flavour. Its tannins are rustic and easy-going and the wines finish is reassuringly long.
